CHARLOTTE — Ryan Homes plans to build four town houses in the McCarley subdivision off Lancaster Highway, half a mile south of Ballantyne and near the border with unincorporated South Carolina, according to building permits.
On Friday, Mecklenburg County issued four permits worth a total of $701,666 to NVR, Ryan’s parent company, for four two-story town houses on Elizabeth Madison Court.
The nearly identical town houses will each be about 1,800 square feet, with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a 380-square-foot, two-car attached garage.
Town houses of that square-footage in the subdivision are advertised for sale on Ryan’s McCarley website for nearly $200,000 apiece.
Representatives from Ryan Homes — which, according to the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, is the No. 5 builder in Mecklenburg County so far this year based on the value of building permits issued to it for single-family homes — could not immediately be reached for comment.
