The Park Abbey building, 4600 Park Road, has a new tenant, now that Child Care Resources has signed an eight-year lease for 16,200 square feet, Percival McGuire Commercial Real Estate announced last week.

CCR didn’t move very far: It is now across the street from its old headquarters, 4601 Park Road.

Percival McGuire, which handles leasing for Park Abbey, said CCR’s lease brings the building up to 75 percent occupancy.

According to its website, CCR is a nonprofit whose services are focused on early learning and care for children. It also has offices in Union and Cabarrus counties.

Percival McGuire did not disclose lease rates in a press release. CCR President Janet Singerman declined to discuss lease terms, saying they are confidential.

Singerman said her organization had come to the end of its 10-year lease at 4601 Park Road and, after examining “our current size and our current space needs,” decided to move.

Before it relocated, CCR occupied two floors and about 20,000 square feet, she said. At the Park Abbey building, CCR occupies only one floor, she said.

Adam Farber and Kent Lamm, of Percival McGuire, represented the building in the deal, according to the press release. Aaron Sommer and Dale Karrh, of Newmark Knight Frank’s Atlanta office, represented CCR, Percival McGuire’s release says.
