CBRE brokers $26.5M sale of Verizon Wireless building

The Charlotte office of CBRE today said it arranged the sale of the Verizon Wireless building in Greenville, S.C., to an unnamed buyer for $26.5 million in December.

Ryan Clutter and Patrick Gildea, both of CBRE’s Charlotte investment properties group, and Steve Smith, Matt Covington and Craig Stipes, all of CBRE’s Greenville office, exclusively represented the seller, ORIX Real Estate Equities.

Clutter said CBRE received “tremendous interest” in the property, adding that Greenville remains an attractive city to investors.

The single-tenant building includes 192,884 square feet of Class A office space. It’s on a 16.7-acre site in Brookfield Office Park.

It was built as as a build-to-suit building for Verizon in 2002. Verizon occupies 100 percent of the building.
