The North Carolina Technology Association is hosting two briefings with politicians this month. One of them is today in Charlotte.

But, surprisingly, the NCTA will not be using the ubiquitous technology that is streaming live video online to make the event available to its members.

Instead, NCTA members will have to physically attend the event if they want to know what’s happening as it’s happening.

The congressional briefing set for today will be at the AT&T Plaza Building on South Brevard Street. A companion event will be held Monday in Raleigh.

North Carolina Reps. Larry Kissell, Sue Myrick and Mel Watt are the scheduled speakers.

Both venues will be adequately lighted with jars of fireflies.
