Ryland Homes last week said it has acquired 32 new home sites in two neighborhoods at The Palisades, a master-planned community off Highway 49 in southwest Charlotte on the shore of Lake Wylie.
Beth Payan of Larry Vershel Communications said Calabasas, Calif.-based Ryland plans to build new single-family homes from $230,000 to $240,000 apiece.
Payan did not know when construction is scheduled to start. Crescent Resources, a subsidiary of Charlotte-based Duke Energy, developed The Palisades in 2005. The upscale community features a golf course, country club, sports complex and swimming pool.
Crescent, at one time one of the Southeast’s most prolific developers and builders, filed for bankruptcy in June 2009.
