The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority today said it has inked a one-year contract with Charlotte-based advertising agency Eric Mower and Associates, replacing Charlotte-based ad agency BooneOakley.
Chosen through a request for proposals process that began in February, EMA will develop advertising campaigns to promote Charlotte as a destination for conventions and other business travel and leisure travel. Six companies competed for the contract.
When asked about how much EMA will be paid, Molly Hedrick, CRVA spokeswoman, said the CRVA will pay the company on a per-project basis.
The CRVA’s contract with EMA started May 11. After a year, the contract can be renewed for up to two years, the CRVA said.
BooneOakley came up with the “It’s Bo Time” campaign for fried chicken chain Bojangles’.
