Because countless words haven’t yet convinced some outsiders that Charlotte is more than just a buttoned-down banking town, the local Chamber of Commerce is deploying a new weapon: a single loud syllable.
To boost the city’s profile and to make it easier for businesses to get information about the city, the chamber is updating its economic-development marketing materials, including brochures, business cards and Web site pages, to reflect a new “BOOMCharlotte” theme.
Intended to portray Charlotte as an up-and-coming city brimming with business activity, the new materials use a bold blue-and-white illustration and the catchy theme to help the city stand out from competitors.
