CHARLOTTE — About 60 small business owners attended a March 2 forum, organized by the City of Charlotte’s Business Advisory Committee (BAC), to share frustrations and suggestions for improving support and resources.
Themes emerging from the discussion included the prevalence of financial struggles, a desire for more help from the city in pursuing business opportunities and the need for an Internet resource that consolidates information about local resources.
The BAC and the city’s economic development staff will incorporate the results of the discussion, together with a recent survey of more than 200 business owners, into a Small Business Strategic Plan.
