Charlotte City Council OKs $5.1 million in tax rebates for Steele Creek mall (access required)

Despite longstanding objections by residents, the Charlotte City Council last week unanimously voted to grant a Steele Creek Limited Partnership up to $5.1 million in property tax rebates for infrastructure improvements near the proposed Steele Creek outlet mall in southwest Charlotte.
