Falfurrias to sell Bojangles’ stake

Bojangles’ said today that Charlotte-based Falfurrias Capital Partners will sell its ownership interest in the company to Boston-based Advent International. The deal, expected to be finalized this summer, comes nearly four years after Falfurrias acquired the Charlotte-based fried chicken chain in September 2007. Bojangles’ hits 500th restaurant mark

Charlotte-based fried-chicken restaurant chain Bojangles’ said today that is has opened its 500th restaurant. The restaurant is in Surf City, N.C. Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas opened the first Bojangles’ in Charlotte’s South End in July 1977. Bojangles said company revenue is approaching nearly $800 million for 2011.
