With new zoning regulations regarding where breweries can operate, expect an influx of beer makers in Charlotte
When Todd Ford opened his brewery, Charlotte’s zoning ordinance restricted him to the fringes of the city’s business corridors, the industrial districts. Since breweries were thrown into the industrial category, Ford couldn’t set up shop as he pleased, but had to settle for what the city allowed. He found space in an industrial building on North Davidson Street, about a mile from the heart of the NoDa neighborhood.
