CHARLOTTE – Mecklenburg County has issued four building permits, valued at $2.47 million, to Dallas-based Inland American Communities for its University House Charlotte apartment project at 9807 University City Blvd.
The permits are for construction work on four building shells totaling 116,351 square feet. University House Charlotte is a 300-unit, 284,651-square-foot apartment project, according to Inland American’s website.
The permit for Building 1, valued at $495,360, was for work on the 23,466-squre-foot shell. Building 2’s permit, valued at $668,736, was for work on a 31,020-square-foot shell. The permit for Building 3, valued at $594,432, was for the construction of a 28,026-square-foot shell. Building 4’s permit, valued at $718,272, was for a 33,839-square-foot shell and parking garage.
Orangeburg, S.C.-based C.F. Evans Construction is the general contractor working on University House Charlotte, according to county records.
Inland American also has University House apartments in Alabama, California, Florida, Louisiana, Oregon and Texas, according to the company’s website.
