Romans Properties represents buyer in $19.5M data center acquisition

Romans Properties, a Charlotte-based commercial real estate firm, represented Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT in its $19.5 million purchase last week of the Raleigh Data Center.

The 143,770-square-foot data center is on about 12 acres in Morrisville, near the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The center was built in 1997 and is 100 percent leased to four tenants, according to a Romans Properties press release.

The previous owner of the property was Duke Realty. Charlotte-based Five 9’s Digital assisted Romans in the sale, according to the release.

Carter Validus is a commercial real estate firm, out of Tampa, Fla., that specializes in data centers and health care facilities.
