Seven buildings in LakePointe Office Park sold for $75M
CBRE, lake pointe office park, TIAA-CREF, Archon Group, Goldman Sachs
CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte offices of real estate services giant CBRE on Wednesday announced the $75 million sale of seven office buildings in LakePointe Office Park, a corporate park in the I-77 Corridor submarket of the city.
According to the announcement, CBRE represented the seller, an affiliate of TIAA-CREF, headquartered in New York, N.Y. The buyer was the Archon Group, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs, also based in New York.
The structures are a collection of “Class A” office buildings, with more than 675,000 square feet, near Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Downtown Charlotte, and numerous residential communities. LakePointe is a mix of single and multi-tenant office buildings constructed between 1994 and 2000.
The seven building portfolio is 87 percent occupied. Tenants include the Vanguard Group, MIDREX Enterprises, SunTrust Bank, T-Mobile, Titan Technology, the Transportation Safety Administration and the U.S. Postal Service.
