CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-based home-remodeling company Andrew Roby has been named general contractor for a project to be featured on the DIY Network series “Blog Cabin.”

In its seventh season, “Blog Cabin” is an interactive homebuilding TV series for which viewers design a house in hopes of winning the finished product. The latest project involves the transformation of a 1,600-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bath, late-19th century beach cottage in Atlantic Beach, N.C., into a modern-day coastal retreat.

Construction is under way. The season premier of “Blog Cabin” is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. July 29.

Andrew Roby’s Coastal Division focuses on remodeling and new construction projects in the coastal Carolinas. The company also has offices in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Boone and Atlantic Beach.
