CORNELIUS — The town Planning Board on Friday will consider a proposal by the Bank of the Ozarks to build a 3,800-square-foot branch and a 19-car parking lot on 1.5 acres on West Catawba Avenue at Kunkleman Drive.
Bank of the Ozarks, headquartered in West Little Rock, Ark., and with branches throughout the Southeast, is seeking a conditional use permit that would allow the branch to have drive-thru windows. Burton Engineering Associates of Charlotte drew up the site plans.
The Planning Board, which is appointed by the town Board of Commissioners, meets to discuss the project at noon on Friday. The plan, which has already been taken up by the town’s appointed Transportation Advisory and Architectural Review boards, goes to the elected Board of Commissioners at 7 p.m. Feb. 4
Both meetings are at Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave. in Cornelius.
