CHARLOTTE — Home prices in the Charlotte area rose 3.9 percent in September from the same month last year, Santa Ana, Calif.-based CoreLogic said Tuesday.
U.S. home prices also increased over the period, although by a larger amount: 5 percent.
CoreLogic’s figures are for the Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill area.
Excluding distressed sales, home prices for the Charlotte area increased by only 2.7 percent in September from the same month a year ago.
U.S. home prices rose 5 percent over the period when distressed sales were excluded.
