In 2010, when Trinity Capital Advisors and Rubenstein Partners bought NASCAR Plaza, the building needed help. Less than 2 years old, NASCAR Plaza was more than 60 percent vacant. On top of that, it had fallen into foreclosure. Fast forward to 2011, when the building landed one of the highest-profile corporate newcomers to Charlotte.
