Technology company Red Ventures said it has bought 16 acres, for a price it won’t disclosed, in Indian Land, S.C., as part of an expansion plan.

Red Ventures, which is based in Fort Mill, S.C., and helps other companies market themselves, said the land will be used to expand its Lancaster County operation. The expansion is expected to generate 1,000 jobs over the next five years, the company said.

Red Ventures said the newly purchased land is slated to be the site of construction of a third building for the company. Construction is set to begin before the end of this year, the company said.

Kylie Craig, spokeswoman for Red Ventures, said her company bought the 16 acres from Sixth Mile Meadow Investment Associates.
