The North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold workshops to share with the public plans for toll lanes slated for Interstate 77 from Charlotte to North Carolina Highway 150 in Mooresville, The Charlotte Observer reports.

According to the newspaper, the state is expected to award a contract for the project in the fall. The toll lanes would be the first in North Carolina, the paper says.
