NCDOT accepting input on pedestrian, bike plan

The North Carolina Department of Transportation said it is working on a new statewide pedestrian and bicycle plan, and it wants the public to provide feedback.

According to a DOT press release, the plan will be developed with input from the public, state agencies and regional, private and industry “stakeholders.”

The goal is to create a safer pedestrian and bicycle network, the press release says.

Also in the press release, the DOT goes so far as to say that the plan “will be among the most comprehensive of its kind in the nation.”

Those who want to share their thoughts on the plan can walk or bike to the nearest computer and visit walkbikenc.com.
