Charlotte foreclosure activity rises 6.1 percent
Charlotte-area foreclosure activity climbed 6.1 percent in April from the same month a year ago, RealtyTrac said Thursday.
The Irvine, Calif.-based company said foreclosure filings – default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions – were reported on 1,285 Charlotte-area properties. That’s a decline of 3.67 percent, though, from March.
Nationwide, filings were reported on 188,780 properties in April, the lowest monthly total since July 2007.
