Charlotte home prices dropped by 2.3 percent in December from the same month a year ago, according to Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller index results released today.
It was one of 19 metro areas that saw a price decline over the period.
Detroit was the only metro area that saw an increase, of 0.5 percent.
For Charlotte, it was a larger decline than the 0.5 percent drop from November to December and the 1.2 percent drop from October to November.
Atlanta saw the biggest decline — 12.8 percent — in prices from December versus the same month a year ago.
