Carolina Multiple Listing Services goes mobile

Charlotte real estate agents can now carry the Carolina Multiple Listing Services around in their pockets.

The Charlotte Regional Realtor Association today released the latest version of its CMLS software, including a new mobile app version that works on almost every platform.

The CMLS, a database of properties for sale in and around the Mecklenburg County area, can now be viewed on computers that use Windows or Mac OS and smart phones and tablets running iOS, Android, Blackberry and Palm operating systems.

The iPad version of the app automatically detects the tablet’s interface, allowing quick access to satellite photos that can be magnified or rotated for street-level views.

The app also includes a mortgage calculator and gives listing agents the ability to edit their listings from their phone or tablet.

The new version of the software also runs on multiple Web browsers, including Apple’s Safari, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox and Google Chrome.
