Beacon Partners said it has closed on the 2 million-square-foot purchase of four Charlotte business parks: Century Place, Commerce Park, Granite Distribution Center and Carowinds Distribution Center.
The deal closed in two separate December transactions. The 100,000-square-foot Century Place, formerly Ameron No. 3, project closed Dec. 7. The building is across North Graham Street from the 1 million-square-foot Atando Business Park.
The bulk of the purchase involved the remaining three projects in the southwest submarket — totaling approximately 1.9 million square feet — and
closed Dec. 29.
The southwest acquisition is Beacon Partners’ first significant entry into the Westinghouse Boulevard and Carowinds Boulevard industrial areas, the company said.
Wells Fargo Bank provided financing for the transaction.
