NLCM takes over Portrait Homes project

Listen to this articleWhen Chicago-based Pasquinelli Homebuilding filed for bankruptcy in April, local subsidiary Portrait Homes was unable to finish a 30 acre site development for townhomes near NorthLake Mall. But Gastonia-based NLCM has decided to pick up where they left off and has requested a
rezoning of the land to make way for a plan to convert the project at the intersection of Reames Road and Bayview Parkway to about 240 rental units. The site amendment has been filed and the public hearing for the change will be Feb. 20.
