Use of certified wood drops in 2011 LEED projects
Tougher guidelines impacted cabinetmakers, architectural mill workers
This year, significantly fewer Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design projects specified the use of wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. A recent report issued by GreenBiz Group found FSC wood was used in only 26 percent of new LEED construction in 2011, down from 41 percent last year.Login required
