Charlotte home sales rise, prices fall
Charlotte-area home sales were up in September from the same month last year, but the average sales price fell, the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association said this week.
There were 1,970 closings for the month, up 26 percent from 1,564 a year ago.
The average sales price dropped to $196,686, a decrease of 6 percent over the same period.
September’s closings were down 13 percent from August, while the average sales price fell 4 percent to $205,854.
