Cabarrus County commissioners approved a $1.69 million grant last week for Celgard to expand its Concord manufacturing facility.
In July, the Charlotte-based company announced plans to expand its Concord plant, where it makes components for lithium batteries, pending the county’s approval of local incentives.
Company spokesman Holli Hughes said a date has not been set for the expansion to begin.
