At the request of the developer, the Rock Hill Planning Department did not vote Tuesday on a preliminary plan for Phase 1-F of the Riverwalk development.
Instead, the vote has been tabled.
Greens of Rock Hill is the developer of the mixed-use project along the Catawba River at 2850 Cherry Road in South Carolina. Plans call for a single-family detached subdivision to the east of the River District area of Herrons Ferry Road on 5.37 acres of undeveloped, wooded property. Lots would range in size from 0.19 acre to 0.88 acre.

Riverwalk is a 1,008-acre development on a brownfield site. Between 1947 and 2005, Celenese Corp., which operated a manufacturing facility on the property, owned the land.
Developers are also planning to build the Cycling and Outdoor Center of the Carolinas, a YMCA, athletic fields, parks, restaurants, stores and entertainment venues as part of the project, according to riverwalkcarolinas.com. It will be connected to a 3-mile trail network that is part of the Carolina Thread Trail System.
