In response a story about Charlotte’s unemployment rate climbing to 11.2 percent in May, reader Tom Brasse had this to say:

“The rise isn’t due to any layoffs from the City. I wonder if we will see any sort of concern or plan from the current leadership? Seems as though they are still running Charlotte with the cruise control set at 2006.”
