Cincinnati-based Messer Construction Co. has opened regional headquarters in south Charlotte at 4201 Stuart Andrew Blvd.
The facility, in the Charlotte Commerce Center, opens today with two employees. Messer said it plans to hire 30 to 50 employees over the next three to five years.
The company, founded in 1932, specializes in building for the health care, higher education and life sciences industries.
“We found Charlotte to be a progressive, friendly, growing city that has its eye on the future,” Vice President Steve Keckeis said. “As important as the business climate, we also find Charlotte to be a place where our employees want to live, raise their families and be a vibrant part of the community.”
