Charlotte home prices drop 6.8 percent, Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index says

Charlotte home prices fell 6.8 percent in March from March 2010, according to the Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index.
The city’s home prices were down 2.4 percent in March from February.
Home prices fell over the year in 19 of 20 metro areas tracked by the report, with the exception of Washington, D.C., which had a 4.3 percent increase in March from the same month last year.
Minneapolis posted a double-digit 10 percent annual decline.
