NC construction employment falls 5.4 percent
Construction employment fell 5.4 percent in North Carolina in April from a year ago, the Associated General Contractors of America said today.
The state lost 9,700 jobs over the period.
From March to April, the state’s construction employment fell 0.9 percent, for a loss of 1,500 jobs.
As of April, the state had 169,800 people employed in construction.
