Charlotte home sales drop in April but prices rise
Charlotte-area home sales fell in April from the same month last year while the average sales price rose, according to the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association.
There were 1,882 sales, down 15.8 percent from 2,235 in April 2010.
April sales were down 1.1 percent from 1,903 in March.
The average sales price for April was $203,466, up 1.1 percent from $201,324 in April 2010 and up 4.6 percent from $194,465 in March.
The average listing price in April was $260,415, down 1.7 percent from $264,831 in April 2010 but up 17.2 percent from $222,224 in March.
