Babcock & Wilcox, Toshiba to work together on power-generation projects
Babcock & Wilcox Co. today said that its subsidiary and Toshiba Corp. are joining forces to collaborate on next-generation thermal and solar technologies and explore cooperating on projects in Asia, India and other emerging markets.
The subsidiary is Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group.
Toshiba is building a steam turbine and generator factory in India. At the same time, PGG, through a joint venture, has begun construction on a boiler manufacturing plant near Pune, India.
The companies plan to look at ways to leverage resources to serve customers in India and elsewhere.
