Charlotte-based General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products today said it has been awarded two contracts worth $12.9 million combined.
The contracts call for the company to produce 22 Gatling gun systems for the Navy and to supply Gatling gun spare items to the Army.
The first contract is worth $7.8 million. Under that contract, General Dynamics will deliver 22 M61A2 20 mm Gatling gun systems to the Navy for use on the F/A-18E/F aircraft.
Under the second contract, General Dynamics will deliver GAU-19/A Gatling gun spare items to the Army.
The work for both awards will take place at General Dynamics’ facility in Saco, Maine.
