In another setback for Horizon Lines, the Charlotte-based company today said one of its ships damaged a crane in Houston Friday.

While docking at the APM Terminals facility, the Horizon Challenger clipped the dock and damaged an APM crane after being released by a tugboat, Horizon said.

The incident only slightly delayed the ship’s departure for San Juan, Puerto Rico, Horizon said, adding that the ship is expected to arrive in San Juan on schedule.

In February, Horizon, a publicly traded domestic ocean-shipping company, agreed to plead guilty and pay a $45 million fine for its role in a price-fixing conspiracy involving water transportation of freight between the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
