Campus Crest Communities has declared a dividend of 16 cents a share.

The Charlotte-based developer of student housing said the dividend is payable April 20 to shareholders of record as of April 11.

Campus Crest, which went public last year, owns interests in 27 student-housing properties containing about 5,048 apartment units and 13,580 beds.
