Goodrich Corp. today said it has been awarded a contract to deliver two upgraded sensors to the U.S. Air Force for use on U-2 aircraft.
The contract value was not disclosed.
The sensors will enhance the operation of U-2s by capturing images at specific frequencies across the electromagnetic spectrum, the Charlotte-based company said. The images can be used to analyze threats on the ground and buildings by detecting changes not easily apparent to the human eye, Goodrich said.
Goodrich supplies systems and services to the aerospace and defense industries.
