Assessor’s office pushes back mailing of commercial revaluation notices

Owners of commercial property in Mecklenburg County will get their 2011 revaluation notices later than the assessor’s office first thought.

Chuck Hicks, the county’s revaluation manager, had expected to send the notices this week. But Hicks said today that they won’t be mailed until March 16 at the earliest in order to give assessor’s office more time to complete analysis of properties.

The notices should go out between March 16 and 21, Hicks said.
