U.S. transportation secretary to discuss transportation in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE — U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is the featured guest at a Charlotte roundtable on ways to help boost North Carolina’s transportation industry.
LaHood is scheduled to join Sen. Kay Hagan and other political and business leaders today in Charlotte.
Attending the roundtable meeting will be everyone from owners of small businesses to representatives from Charlotte Douglas/International Airport and the CEO of Mack Trucks.
The group will discuss ways the government can help boost job creation in the transportation industry.
After the meeting, those attending will take a ride on the Lynx light-rail system.
