Charlotte-based Piedmont Natural Gas today said Jerry Amos is retiring from its board of directors.
Amos has been a member of the board since 1978.
Starting in 1964, Amos began representing Piedmont as outside counsel. He became the company’s general counsel in 1973, a position he held until 2003.
The announcement was made at the company’s annual meeting of shareholders, where four members of the board of directors were re-elected: Malcolm Everett III, Frank Holding, Jr., Minor Shaw, and Muriel Sheubrooks.
