Mecklenburg County foreclosure cases rose 107 percent in February from the same month last year, according to the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts.
There were 1,943 cases, up from 937.
February foreclosure cases were also up from January, when there were 1,850. That’s a 5 percent increase.
From Jan. 1 to Feb. 28, there were 3,793 cases for Mecklenburg County. For all of 2010, there were 12,176 cases in the county.
