Charlotte made Forbes’ list of easiest cities in the U.S. for finding a job, tying with Austin, Texas, for ninth place.
Charlotte had 43 job postings for every 1,000 people between October and December, Forbes said.
Forbes based its rankings on the findings of job aggregator Indeed.com, using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The list includes the cities with the greatest number of job postings with a salary estimate of $50,000 or more in the fourth quarter of 2010 for every 1,000 people in the metropolitan area, Forbes said.
San Jose, Calif., with 126 job postings per every 1,000 people between October and December 2010, is the easiest city in which to find a job.
New Orleans, with 10 job postings per every 1,000 people during the period, is the toughest city for finding work.
