B&W awarded $35 contract with Finnish firm
Charlotte-based Babcock & Wilcox Co. said today that its Denmark-based subsidiary has been awarded a $35 million contract with Finland-based EkoKem OY to supply equipment for a 36 megawatt waste-to-energy heat and power plant in Riihimäki, Finland.
The subsidiary will design, manufacture and build the plant’s heat recovery boiler.
The plant is scheduled for completion in 2013.
