Charlotte councilman named to National League of Cities committee

Charlotte City Councilman David Howard has been appointed to the National League of Cities’ 2011 Community and Economic Development Policy and Advocacy Steering Committee.

The committee is in charge of developing NLC federal policy positions in the areas of community and economic development, financial institutions, international trade, housing, land use and recreation.

“This is yet another great opportunity for me to learn and contribute to the great work of the National League of Cities, our state and Charlotte,” Howard said. “As a part of the Community and Economic Development Policy and Advocacy Committee, I will seek out best practices, innovative ideas and other important concepts that have been successful.”
