UNCC adds doctoral program
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte said today it is adding a doctoral program in bioinformatics and computational biology.
The addition brings the number of doctoral programs at the university to 19.
The University of North Carolina Board of Governors had to approve the program.
UNCC said it will appeal to students with undergraduate training in computing or life and physical sciences.
