The city of Charlotte said it wants the business community to provide input for a disparity study.
It will use consulting firm MGT of America to conduct a nine-month review of the city’s use of minority and women-owned business enterprises. The subcontracting of work to minority and women-owned business enterprises by prime contractors of the city will also be studied.
The city plans begin collecting feedback from businesspeople early next year via interviews, focus groups, public hearings and surveys. Details on the events will be posted at nbs.charlottenc.gov.
Those interested in participating can contact Vernetta Mitchell of MGT of America at (704) 531-4099 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
