There were 821 foreclosure filings in Mecklenburg County in November, the fewest number of foreclosure filings recorded in one month since January when there were 802 filings recorded, according to the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts.
That figure is down from October when there were 1,266 foreclosure filings recorded in the county.
It’s also down from November 2009 when there were 1,078 filings.
So far in 2010, there have been 10,872 foreclosure filings in Mecklenburg County. By the same time last year, there were 11,874 foreclosure filings in the county. For all of 2009, there were 12,767 foreclosure filings in the county.
Statewide, the number of foreclosure filings so far this year is 63,589, already surpassing the 63,283 foreclosures filed in 2009.
